Tales Of The Maraudering Chickens
In Laie, Hawaii there are bands of rogue chickens that roam the streets searching for unsuspecting prey to terrorize. Getting used to cohabitation with these flightless wonders is something that took some getting used to. For an entire year, these midget-demons from hell would wake me up at 4am and camp outside of my window.
And yes, their numbers are many.
Watching a flock of these chickens, with their little hatchlings in tow, scurrying across the street and between houses is a sight to behold. They are colorful and almost exotic looking. This might be the norm for all I know, especially given that everything I learned about chickens I gleamed from the Colonel.
Of course, hearing stories about various international students at BYUH that captured, killed and subsequently served these local chickens for dinner always does my heart good.
India has deranged monkeys. Utah has cows scattered on the highways. Brazil has monkeys as well.
In Hawaii, beware of the chicken.
