I finished last semester with solid grades, which under the circumstances I feel the need to boast — four A’s, a B+ and a B. This also was the first and last time I ever take 18 credits in one semester. It was a surreal experience always being at school, participating in five group projects at the same time, and feeling perpetually drained.
Winter semester ended last Wednesday. Today, just one week later, I’ve begun my seventh consecutive school semester/term without a break in my mad march to graduation in December.
I also found out my Economic Development class expanded to 3 hours a day instead of just two. The professor is going abroad and we have to make up the missed time sooner rather than later. In total, I spent seven and a half hours in class today.
June 15th cannot come soon enough…

Excerpt from the Disaster News Network (the happiest media outlet in the industry):
According to Ray Lovell, public information officer for the Hawaii State Civil Defense Office, 64 homes suffered flood damage from Saturday and Sunday’s heavy rains. “But we’re still conducting assessments, that number could rise,” he said. Damage to private residences is already estimated at $1 million.
The area received over 10 inches of rain in 12 hours, with Lovell noting that eight inches of that fell within a three-hour period on Saturday evening. The normally small and quiet stream in the valley quickly became a raging river.
“It was a fantastic amount of rain in a short period of time. I know I’ve lived here for 35 years and I’ve never seen anything like it. Some meteorologists say it was a 50-year flood.”
Besides my toilet bursting, which flooded my room with a foot of water, the constant downpour has been pretty darn pleasant.
Relentless, but pleasant.
